SOCIETY. Residents Of Md.-Va. Make Trips Visit to Canadian City; Return From Journey. Mrs. J. Walter Dudley accompanied by her sister-in-law, Miss Alice Dud- ley, both of Takoma Park, Md. will leave tomorrow for New York, whence they will sail for Montreal, Canada, returning by way of Boston and Balti- more by boat. They will be away about 18 days. Mr. and Mrs. John Maddox and their children, Mary Elizabeth, Ruth and John, jr, will return tomorrow drom a 10-day trip to Erwin, Tenn,, and Atlanta, Ga., where they visited Telatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gornam F. Freer and young daughter, Jacqueline Freer, of Country Club Hills, Va,, left today for & week’s stay at Rehoboth Beach, Del. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Ziegler of Chevy Chase Gardens, Md., have had as their guests for several days the former’s brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. E. A. Ziegler of Harrisburg, | Pa. They left yesterday for Fort Monroe where Df. Ziegler will act as an instructor in the Citizens’ Train- ing Camp that is being held there this Summer. Miss Bettie Wyllys Stone left yes- terday for Belleville, Ill, where she will spend 10 days with Miss Jane Lee Jones, a classmate at Duke Uni- wversity, Durham, N. C. She had as guest last week at her home in Lyon Village, Va., Miss Jane Du Bois of Raleigh, N. C., in whose honor she | entertained at luncheon at the Wash- | ington Golf and Country Club. Peck re- turned yesterday to their home in ‘Woodside, Md.,, from Atlanta, Ga., where they attended the wedding last week of their son, Mr. Raymond K. Brock of Washington and South Carolina are spending several weeks touring the Gaspi Peninsular and will later spend some time in Quebec, after which they will sail to New York City. They will be at home in Washington for a few weeks before going to South Carolina.
