Swanson, was joined yester- day by Mrs. Swanson, who will remain in town this week. She will leave early next week for Swansonville, Va., to visit members of the Secretary’s family, joining him in Washington again the 1st of July. Mrs. Harold' L Ickes, wife of the Secretary of tne Interior, entertained at a luncheon today in honor of Mrs. Michael L. Igoe, wife of the former Representative at Large from Illinois. ‘The party wae given in her home, Hayes, which she and the Secretary have leased from Mr. and Mrs. G. ‘Thomas Dunlop. Mrs. Igoe will leave soon to joln Mr. Igoe in Chicago. Mr. Igoe has re- cently been appointed United States attorney at Chicago, and left Wash- ington a few days ago for his home. The Ambassador of Argeniina and Senora de Espil have taken a cottage at the Homestead, at Hot Springs, Va., for theéd Summer, and will go there early in July. Mme. Peter, wife of the Minister of Switzerland, will go to New York this evening preparatory to sailing Satur- day aboard the Normandie for her home in Switzerland to spend the re- mainder of the Summer. The Min- ister will join her in New York tomor- row to bid her bon voyage and will return to Washington Sunday. The Minister will leave Washington the end of July to spend his vacation with Mme. Peter in Switzerland and they will return to Washington in the Au- tumn. ‘The Minister of Sweden, Mr. W. Bostrom, left yesterday for New York, and will sail today on the S. 8.
