URB LIST STAGES AGTIVE ADVANCE Utilities, Oils and Specialties Join Rally—Metal Is- sues Neglected. By the Assoclated Press. NEW YORK, April 5—Utilities, oils and specialties led the Curb Market in a fairly brick rally today. Most active issues selling at higher prices included American Gas, Electric Bond & Share, Creole Petroleum, In- ternational Petroleum, Nigara Hudson Power, Pittsburgh Plate Glass and Swift & Co. Indianapolis Power & Light preferred made an extreme ad- vance of 8 points on & small turnover, and gains of around 1 were shown by Gulf Oil and Mead Johnson. Metals were neglected, and such recently active issues as Lake Shore Mines, Wright Hargreaves and Pioneer Gold showed only small changes. Trading was much more active than in recent sessions.
