The Kenilworth Citizens’ Associa- tion proposed that the former Ben- ning race track and adjoining land be acquired for the establishing of | the municipal airport last night BL! its meeting in the Kenilworth Recre- | ation Center. William S. Driggers said that the| people of Washington are losing pres- tige by failing to provide facilities for air connections in keeping with its position as the Nation’s Capital. The proposal, in the form of a reso- lution, will be sent to each citizens’ | association meeting this week and | the Federation of Citizens' Associa- tions, asking support for the plan. The association went on record op- posing section 16 of the proposed Prettyman bill, which would give the District Commissioners power to ap- voint members of the Board of Edu- | cation and trustees to the Public Library. } Back Compensation Act. { The group indorsed the amend- | ment of Representative Allard H. | Gasque. Democrat, of South Caro- lina, for the workman's compensation act.
