Dieste, 39, widely known amateur golfer, will be held at 2 p.m. tomor- row at his home, 807 Somerset place, followed by burial in Glenwood Cem- etery. He died at Sibley Hospital Saturdsy, his skull fractured from & fall down the cellar steps at his home. A commission agent for several market firms, Mr. Dieste was & mem- ber of the Argyle Country Club and holder of the club's unofficial course record of 67. He was a familiar figure at golf tournaments here and nearby, and was champion of his club four times. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Iva M. RITES TOMORROW FOR EDGAR PRIEST Bishop Freeman in Charge of Funeral for Cathedral Choirmaster. Funeral services for Edgar Priest, musical director, will be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow in the Great Choir final work was done. Arrangements are in the hands of Right Rev. James E. Freeman, Bishop of Washington, and of the Cathedral family, of which the choirmaster and organist was a beloved member. Interment will be in the Cathedral crypt, where Mr, Priest's leaders, Right Rev. Herbert L. Satterlee and Right Rev. Alfred Harding, first and second Bishops of Washington, re- spectively, also are entombed. News of the musical director’s death late Saturday evening cast a shadow over the Cathedral services yesterday. The boys of his choir went to their places in the chancel with tears in their eyes and Bishop Freeman inter- rupted the evensong program to ex- press their grief and to say: “Mr. Priests memory will be precious always here and every effort will be made to see that the foundations of Cathedral music which he laid remain strong and stable.” At his funeral his boys will not sing. Instead, in deference to Mr. Priest’s wishes, there will be nothing but the simple ritual for the dead. Mr. Priest was born in Yorkshire, England, 57 years ago, and received his musical education at Manchester Cathedral.
