BISHOP FREEMAN EVENSONG SPEAKER Returns Unexpectedly From Summer Home in Maine and Will Preach. ‘The sermon in commemoration of In- dependence day at the people’s evensong service in the Great Choir of Washing- ton Cathedral tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock will be delivered by Bishop James Edward Freeman, who has returned to the city unexpectedly from his Summer home in Sorrento, Me. Canon Wolven will conduct the service. ‘The preacher at the celebration of the holy communion at 10:30 am. will be Canon Anson Phelps Stokes, who re- turns to Washington today after a year's absence. He will be in residence at the College of Preachers during July and preach at several of the Cathedral services.
