New stained glass windows to be placed in the Washington Cathedral will be exhibited today and tomorrow at the Cathedral Studio on Second street pike, Huntingdon Valley, above Bethayres, Pa., Lawrence Saint, who | has been making the windows for the cathedral for the past five years, an- nounced yesterday. The exhibition will take place from 5 pm. to 8 pm. today and all day tomorrow. It will consist mainly of the “Moses | Window” and panels of the “Deborah Window™ which are soon to be installed in the newly completed north transept of the cathedral on Mount Saint Alban. Glass blowing, one of the picturesque steps in the process of making cathe- dral windows, may be seen after 3 p.m. tomorrow The “Moses Window” has been con- | ceived and worked out with Egyptian crnament, costume and color. Consist- ing largely of three great figures, the | window shows Moses at the age of 40 as the adopted son of Pharaoh’s daugh- | ter, Moses holding the tables of the law or the ten commandments and Moses as he appeared before Pharaoh. | The various trades of ancient Egypt and the 10 plagues are worked into | the background of the window. The name “Moses” appears in Egyptian hieroglyphics. | The three smaller subjects at the base of the window show Moses about to flee from Egypt, Moses giving the | law to the people and Moses and | Aaron about to leave the presence of | Pharaoh in anger. In this portion of | the window special study was made of the throne rcom of Meneptah, the | Pharaoh of the Exodus, which was dis- covered by the University of Pennsyl- vania authorities and restored by them. Mr. Saint’s first conception of the | “Moses Window" was destroyed in the | fire which swept through the studio on the night before election day last November. The transparency of the “Rote Win- dow” recently installed in the north | transept of Washington Cathedral will | also be on exhibition in the Hunting- | don Valley Studio | what seemed to be ivy poisoning al- | they invaded a guest bungalow Wednes- | | day night, evidently frustrated in an ‘ Snow-on-Mountain Rated as Poisonous As Ivy, by Expertsf RHUS TOX 3X For POISON OAK, IVY and similar_conditions.
