B—16 QUARTET 0 MAKE l DEBUT OVER WRC Southernaires to Begin New' Series With Familiar Melodies of Dixie. A new series of musical programs, featuring the Southernaires, a colored quartet, will be introduced tonight over WRC and a network of other N. B. C. stations, The initial broadcast is scheduled from 9:15 to 9:30. Each program will be made up of old Southern melodies. Fannie Brice will sing “My Man,” which she made the most famous of modern ballads, durinz her program with George Olsen’s Orchestra, from 8 to 8:20. The orchestra will contribute “Hiawatha's Lullaby,” “The World Is Wainting for the Sunrise” and “Shuffie Off to Buffalo.” Josef Lhevinne, famous concert pi- anist, and his wife, Rosa Lhevinne, an cqually noted pianist, will complete the vlaying of the Mozart “Concerto in E *lat Major,” from 8:30 to 10. Lhevinne niso will play the diffcult “Staccato Etude,” by Rubinstein. Radio Joe on Program.
