Cabinet Lady Guest at Women's Democratic Club. Mrs. George H. Dern, wife of the Secretary of War, will be the guest of honor at an informal tea at the ‘Woman’s National Democratic Club, 1526 New Hampshire avenue, tomor- row afternoon from 4 to 6 o'clock. ‘The list of hostesses includes Mrs. william H. King, Mrs. Hugo Black, ‘Mrs. Charles S. Hamlin, president of the club; Mrs. Lister Hill of Alabama, Mrs. W. A. Ayres of Kansas, Mrs. Ber- tram Chesterman, Mrs. George M. Eckels, and Mrs. Edward Keating. The Secretary of Labor, Miss Fran- ces Perkins, will be the honor guest at a tea this afternoon given by Mr. and Mrs. Jouett Shouse, in their George- town residence, the old Waggaman mansion. In the recelving line will be Mrs. John N. Garner, wife of the Vice Presi- dent: Mrs. Charles Evans Hughes, wife of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court; Miss Grace Abbott, director of the Children’s Bureau, and Miss Mary Anderson, director of the Women's Bureau in the Department of Labor.
