Weller, 70, & proofreader for The Star for more than 30 years, died yesterday at his apartment in the Montclair after a short illness. A native of Thurmont, Frederick County, Md., Mr. Weller came to the Capital about 60 years ago and had lived here continuously. Prior to his employment at The Star, he was a proofreader for Judd & Detwiler, Inc., for 20 years. Mr. Weller came to The Star in June, 1901. Up to his recent iliness he had taken but one day sick leave in 26 years. He was a member of The lve- ning Star Chapel, Columbia graphical Union, No. 101.
