Number of Arrests Declined Slightly in March, Bu- reau Reports. Seizure of illicit Nquor in the District of Columbia by Federal agents increased in March over February, while the num- ber of arrests declined slightly during the same period, it was shown by figures from the Prohibition Bureau. At the same time there were evident gains for both State and Pederal pro- | hibition _activities in arrests, auto mobile and still sefzures throughout the country. Federal agents selzed 3414 gallons of spirits here in March, as compared to 2265 in February, while beer seizures in March were 212 gallons as compared to 118 gallons in February. Wine coi fiscated, however, dropped from 12 gal lons in February to 1 gallon in March The number of arrests here fell off from 169 in February, to 157 in March while the number of cases placed on th court docket decreased from 178 to 166 during the same period. The courts were faced at the close of the month of March with 200 cases, as compared t 198 at the close of February.
