Marx Lewis, attorney for the local Fur Workers’ Union, made a second attempt yesterday to secure a public hearing on his request for an amend- ment to the billboard regulations to ex- | clude from them a prohibition against picketing labor disputes, a matter which, Marx claims, was not within the in- tention of Congress when it passed the billboard law. To a former communication of his last month he received a reply stating that the corporation counsel had ruled that the regulations banned picketing. The Fur Workers' Union is in a dis- pute with a local fur store and the store sought an injunction to prevent the picketing of the premises.
