LARNER WILL HEAD MASONIC COUNCIL Elected Grand Master of Dis- trict, to Succeed Rolen E. Painter. Deptty Grand Master Noble D. Larner was elected grand master of the Grand Council, Royal and Select Mas- ters of the District of Columbia at the annual assembly of the Grand Council last night, in the Royal Arch Chapte: Chamber in Masonic Temple, Thir- teenth street and New York avenue. He succeeds Rolen E. Painter, who held the office of grand master of the Coun- eil during last year. Other _ office elected at the annual assembly last night were: Orie L. Beardsley, deputy grand master; John W. Lainhart. grand prin- cipal conductor: Mark F. Finley. grand treasurer, re-elected, and John A. Col- born, grand recorder, re-elected, were the other officers named. The new grand master made the following ap- pointments: Clarence J. West, gran visitor and lecturer; Rev. Walter F. Smith, grand chaplain; Ralph H. Heb- bard, grand captain of the guard; Lu- cien G. Yung, grand conductor of the council ce L. Brewton, grand marshal; Aquilla C. Homan, grand sen- tinel.
