Senator Fess laid before the Senate resolutions adopted by the Indiana Bi- centennial group urging the National Commission to concentrate its efforts on supplying such literature to the country, even if some other features of the commission’s program have to be abandoned. In presenting the Indiana resolutions Senator +Fess again reminded his col- leagues that the Budget Bureau rec- ommended considerably more for con- tinuing the work of the National Com- mission than has been approved at this session. The Senate passed a bill making minor changes in the law authorizing the Bicentennial Commission to publish the complete writings of George Wash- ington in a set of 25 volumes.
