Davis of Burke, with two representa- tives from each of the County's Home Demonstration Clubs, decided to devote the major portion of thelr energies durs ing 1932 to a study of proper methods of marketing surplus fcods. DIVORCE PLEA DENIED Husband Granted Decree in Vir- ginia, Mrs. Ridgway’s Suit Fails. Justice Jesse C. Adkins yesterday dis- missed a sult for an absolute divorce brought by Mrs. Effie P. Ridgway, 5014 Seventh place, against Elgin L. Ridg- way, 1317 Irving street. The court held the wife could not maintain her suit in the face of a divorce decree granted to her husband in Virginia. In the proceeding insti- tuted by the wife the decree was awarded the husband on a cross-bill. Consequently, the court held, the laws of Virginia prevailed in the case, as both had been residents of that State. Attorney Alfred M. Schwartz ap- peared for the husband. NAME PRINCIPALS 10 DIRECT BUSSES Loudoun Board Orders School Heads to Supervise Drivers. Special Dispatch to The Star. PURCELLVILLE, Va, November 13. —The Loudoun County School Board in meeting here yesterday ordered that school principals shall supervise school bus drivers just as they do teachers and that principals shall have the right to decide whether a child may or may | not ride in the school bus, subject to | the advice and ruling of the School | Board or superintencent. The board thanked D. C. Sands and the Public Health Association of Lou- doun County for the donation of $1,000 for use in imrrovlnl the sanitation of the schools of the county. ‘The insurance was ordered revised so as to conform to the co-insurance plan on_all school buildings. The Daysville School was ordered sold at public auction subject to the order and approval of the court and Stilson H Hall was named as attorney to act for the board. Permission was extended to R. W. Luckett to take possession of and ‘im- prove any 1and belonging to the school ot and lying outside of the school lot fence at Lucketts which adjoins his property and the main road except that the School Board reserves sufficient land to serve as necessary roadways to | its own property.
