ARLINGTON COUNTY COURT HOUSE, Va., November 13.—The first move toward agreement upon the method by which the new county man- ager will be selected will be made at a closed and informal meeting of the new County Board, which will be held to- morrow. ‘While no one member is able at this time to intimate the nature of the steps to be taken, all are reported to be in agreement that the selection should be made before January 1, when | the new board takes over the reins of government, and it is hoped that at least tentative plans may be drawn at tomorrow's meeting whereby any un- necessary delay in the consideration of applications may be eliminated. Chairmanship Between Two. It is believed that no effort will be made at this first meeting of the new board to select a permanent chairman, but that a temporary chairman will be selected to serve uniil a full organiza- tion of the body is completed. The general belief is that either Fred A. Gosnell or Harry A.
