NEW YORK, October 5.—The death saturday of Mrs. Henry Clay Frick re- | leased to New York City, under the terms of her husband's will, an art| colicetion valued, with the house con- taining it, at about $50.000,000. | Mr. Frick, who died in 1919, be-| queathed the mansion at Fifth avenue and East Seventieth street and its con- tents to the public after his wife's death. Public Museum Likely. He named John D. Rockefeller, jr.: George F. Baker, jr.; Lewis Cass Led- yard and several others as trustees of the celebrated Frick collection. The death of one trustee, J. Horace Harding, l1oft a vacancy which was filled by An- drew W. Mellon, Secretary of the ‘Treasury. The tustees say they understand the collcction and its home will become a public museum. The house and site 2re among the city's most valuable residential properties. With the collection goes an endow- ment fund of $15,000,000 for its sup- port $500,000 paid for Velasquez. The body will be taken to Pittsburgh in a private car and funeral services will be held Wed- nesday. Interment will be in the family lot at Homewood Cemetery. Before her marriage she was Miss Adelaide H. Childs of Pittsburgh. Her husband, who was connected with the Carnegie steel interests, died several years ago.
