NEW YORK, August 17.—Police to- day revealed details of what they called the most brutal murder in Brooklyn | o crime annals, the killing of three men who were made targets for knives in a speakeasy cellar. The victims, Charles Maturo, Charles Simminelli and Joseph Barberi, were found dead in the eellar last Priday, their heads crushed. and their bodies covered with knife wounds. Now, police said today, an eyewitness has told them- how it Klppened, This man said two gitls had been assaulted in the speakeasy and returned with six man friends, identifying Maturo, Simminelli and Barberi as the men who them.
