EDINBURGH, S« d, July 9.— Thousands of persons, gathered on the slopes of Arthur's scat, a noarby crag, watched the picturesque scene as King “Seorge and Queen Mary greeted their anests at a royal garden party on the historic lawns of Holyrood Palace this afternoon. Some €00 guests at the party, repre- senting almost every walk of life in Scotland, formed a lane through which their majesties and the Duke and Duchess of York passed.
