Mrs. Isabel Worrell McElroy, for more than half a century a nationally known newspaper woman and m zine writer, died early yesterday at Emergency Hospital of injurics and complications resulting from & fall June 25 at her country home, near Occoquan, | Va. Mrs. McElroy, who was 76 years old, had been in failing health for five years. She was the widow of Col. John McElroy, prominent Washington pub- lisher and editor of the National Tribune. After early newspaper ex- perience with the Kansas City Star and as a correspondent in Mexico, she worked for The Washington Star for 22 years, leaving in 1902 t> become associate editor of the National Tribune. On May 16, 1925, she was married to Col. McElroy here.
