Rum Seller Takes Chain Gang Term Instead of Pledge By the Associated Pre; GAFFNEY, 8. July 2.— Sentenced to the chain gang for violating the prohibition laws, E. B. Bolin of Cherokee County prefers the roads to signing a pledge to sell no more liquor. Gov. Blackwood suspended the road sentence on condition that Bolin pay a fine and sign the pledge. Today Bolin notified Conrad _Jones, rlerk of the County Court, that he would sur- render and begin his term. Friends said he refused to sign the pledge.
