Mrs. Thomas Archibald Stone, wife of the second secretary of the Canadian legation, died last night in Yonkers General Hospital, Yonkers, N. Y. Mrs. Stone was 23 years old. She was the former Miss Ellen Cox Ewing, | daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ewing of New York and Yonkers. Her father was United States commissioner of patents in the administration of Pres- ident Wilson. Her mother was the for- mer Miss Anna P. Cochran. The late Alexander Smith Cochran, president of the Alexander Smith Sons Carpet Co., and Gifford Cochran were her uncles. Alexander Smith, who founded the com- pany, was her great-grandfather. Besides her parents Mrs. Stone is sur- vived by one sister, Mrs. Newbold Noyes, wife of the associate editor of The Star, and five brothers—Thomas, jr.; Wil- liam C., Gifford, Bayard and Sherman Cochran. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, June 19.—Charles A. Lindbergh, jr., will be a year old next Monday, but as the day draws near he remains as ufual “in seclusion” and away from the publicity always attend- ant upon th: movement of his parents. So far as the public knows, which is not much considering the fame of his fiyisg parents, the youngster has yet to take his first airplane ride. Opposed to Limelight. His parents are determined he will nct be subjected to the light of pub- licity. Only twice has the youngster been photographed for publication, and only a few times has his name been men- tioned. For a few days after his birth last year the newspapers speculated about the name to be given him and duly reported the various steps in the filing of his birth certificate, the gifts re- ceived and the condition of his early development.
