MOTION PICTURE STARS ON AIR! - ‘Anita Page and George Ban- croft Will Be Heard Over WMAL. Two moving picture stars, Anita Pue and George Bancroft, are to take p: ht in two of the Columbia Brold- System's outstanding attractions coming into Washington over WMAL. Miss Page will appear before the microphone, in the Fashion Forecasts program at 10:15 o'clock, while Bancroft will subject himself to a radio interview by Louella Parsons in the Musical Cock- tail presentation at 8:30 o'clock. Each of these broadcasts will have a musical background. Sylvia Lent, youthful Washington violinist, who has won an enviable place in the concert field, also will be heard over WMAL in the Columbia Concert at 10:45 o'clock. She will be assisted by a symphony orchestra. Fast Freight in Chicago. The Fast Freight in its musical tour from 9 to 9:30 o'clock stops at Chicago for a serenade. Eddie, the organist, will play “I Got a Date at Eight” and the quartet will sing “I Can’t Get !:nwz of Yuu" and “The Alpine Milk Man.” A program of harmony and humor will be offered by the McAleer Polishers at 10:30 o'clock. “Scrappy” Lambert and Dick Robertson as Mac and Al will sing as duets “Apple Blossom Time” and “I'm the Guy That Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo.” The humorous dia- lo‘ue will be provided by Harry von 1 and Dave Elman. ‘WMAL's principal attractions of local origin will be a joint recital by Ina Holtscheiter, soprano, and Catherine Cross, contralto. and a 15-minute recital by Frances B.
