PASTOR CELEBRATES 25 YEARS IN CAPITAL Dr. John Weidley Assumed Charge at Lutheran Church Here in March, 1906. The twenty-fifth anniversary of the pastorate of Dr. John Weidley of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, Second and B streets southeast, was observed at a social last nigit in the Sunday School rooms. Dr. Weidley came to the local church in March, 1906, after having served as pastor of the Bethany Church in Pitts- burgh, Pa., for 15 years. He was presi- dent of the Maryland Synod for three years, president of Washington Minis- terial Association, 18 now serving his twenty-fifth year as president of the National Lutheran Home for the Aged, and for the past three years has been president of the Board of Directors of Gettysburg Theolnqlcu Seminary. “REAL STORIES OF LIFE” IS CHOSEN FOR SERMON Rev.
