- ANTHLYNCHING LAW ACTION REQUESTED National Equal Rights League Appeals to Hoover and Congress. A resolution asking President Hoover and Congress for a Federal anti-lynch- ing law and asking the President to ‘wage war an lynchers as well as rack- eteers marked the closing session of the National Equal Rights League in the John Wesley A. M. E. Zion Church yesterday. Another resolution condemned the segregation of the colored gold star mothers in the official trip overseas to visit the graves of their sons who lost their lives in the World War.
