SING SING PISTOL MOT IS SFED Convict Killed Self After Four Armed Men Failed to Break Prison. By the Associated Press. OSSINING, N. Y., November 3 —Sing Sing Prison authorities sought to learn today how pistols were smuggled to four inmates whose attempt to shoot their way out resulted in the death of one of them and the wounding of another don, 23, the inmate who lost his life in the attempted break Saturday night, committed suicide after he had wounded a guard and had been shot twice by the guard.
