- RVERDALE HEGHTS | ROADPLANS HADE| Two Additional County Routes, One Paved by State, Obiegtive. @pecial Dispatch to The Star. RIVERDALE HEIGHTS, Md., Octo- ter 20.—Establishment of two additional eounty roads in Riverdale election dis- trict, and the securing eventually of & paved State road over one of the pro- posed routes is being sought by citizens of Riverdale Heights 1 Hills. The Stephen Oitizens’ Associaticn of East Riverdale ims named a com- mittee to gather Statistics and other information as to roads in connection with the movement and to sound the sentiment of the people concerned. A committee also has been appointed by the Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire Department to co-operate with the com- mittee cf the citizens’ association. Petitions soon will be circulated, ad- dressed to the Prince Georges County commissioners, asking that Charlotte avenue and another route yet to be chosen be declared county roads. It is hoped to lay these petitions before the commissioners at an early meeting. Charlotte Avenue Route, Efforts will be made to have the ex- tension of the State road which will connect the Washington-Baltimore ‘boulevard and the Defense Highway by ‘way of Jefferson avenue, and which now is completed as far as the Edmonston road, routed by way of Charlotte ave- nue through Riverdale Heights and Riverdale Hills.
