NEW YORK, October 20.—An injunc- tion to restrain two companies of Charles V. Bob from further stock sales was sought by the State today after Watson Washburn, assistant attorney general, said investors faced a possible loss of $12,000,000. Bob disappeared 10 days ago after leaving his private airplane at the Mu- nicipal Airport in Chicago. He has been sought by officials of the State Bureau of Securities for questioning in an in- vestigation of Metal & Mining Shares, !nc and Rainbow Luminous Products, wnshburn said about $6,000,000 of the loss will probably be accounted for by the collapse of Metal & Mining Shares, an investment trust, of which Bob is president. He said although Rainbow Luminous Products, Inc, in which Bob is a di- rector, is believed to be solvent, the loss to the public would “probably be greater than that caused by Metal & Mining Shares, Inc.” Henry B. Staples, deputy mhunt attorney general, who prepared the junction petition for presenution m Brooklyn Supreme Court today, also planned to turn over to Acting United States Attorney Robert E. Manley such evidence as he has collected in refer- ence to misuse of the mails by Bob and his concerns for possible action by a Federal grand jury.
