Delon, head of Jesuit missions in Alaska, and Father Walsh of the Kotzebue Mission Wien had made a test flight before taking up the priests. The crash came while the ship was circling the field. Spectators said the motor seemed to stall and the ship dived to the ground, | burying its nose in the frozen earth. | ‘The Marquette, a ‘six-passenger Bel- lanca cabin plane, powered with a 225- horsepower Diesel motor, was sent to Alaska this Summer. J, October 14.—A telltale little tooth discovered near some dinosaur egg shells in Montana gives an insight into the possible fate of the earth's largest race of animals, the extinct dinosaurs. Discovery of the egg shells, the first| found on this continent, and of the tooth mearby was announced yesterday n L. Black, Rough and Pitted. The eggs are fragments, not more than an inch in diameter and nearly one-eighth of an inch thick. They are black, rough and pitted. Dr. Jepsen sald the shells of which they are pleces may have been larger than those of the first dinosaur eggs ever found, which Roy Chapman Andrews of the Ameri- can Museum of Natural History ob- tained in Mongolia. The Mongolian eggs were somewhat under a foot long, reddish brown and estimated at 95 000.000 years old. The Montana eggs probably are younger, said Dr. Jepsen. but still are millions of years old. The Princeton expedition plans to return at some fu- ture date to search for complete eggs. Recent findings of dinosaur bones and tracks indicate that these reptiles once spread over a large part of the United States.
