With vacations behind them, the members of the United States Supreme Court are gathering in Washington this week to be in attendance October 6 for { the opening of the court's new term. Five of them—Chief Justice Hughes and Justices McReynolds, Brandeis, Sutherland and Stone, already are in the Capital. Of these, with the excep- tion of Justice Brandeis, all were abroad { Chief Justice visited ltaly, France and i Germany.
