Through the Virginia Committee of the George Washington Foundation, it 1s announced that approximately $50,000 has been raised for the work of pur- chasing and preserving the Washington homestead farm opposite Fredericks- burg, where George Washington passed his boyhood and youth. Present plans are to dedicate it during 1932, the bi-| centennial year. Definite plans for the dedication and date upon which it will be held will be left to the National Bicentennial Com- mission, which plans to include the ceremony in the official program of the bicentennial.
