A New York detective who gave his name as C. Harrington, representing the Scaffa Detective Agenty of New York, consulted with Inspector Shelby at police headquarters here yesterday afternoon. Following the conference it was learned that the detective had mentioned a downtown hotel where the missing night club hostess had a few hours before been reported ‘“making phone calls.” Not on Crater Case. Questioned as to the results of thé conference, Shelby announced the New York detective was not here investigat- ing the Crater case. A check at the downtown hotel mentioned brought no Tesults.
