A certificate of vaccination is one of the requisites for a child to be admitted to school, it is pointed out. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, August 29.—A second conference of American and Cuban sugar producers ended Wednesday with- out indications from Thomas L. Chad- bourne, chairman of the committee, as to the progress made toward an agree- ment on a five-year plan for the “sta- bilization" of the sugar Industry. ‘The plan, introduced Tuesday by Dr. Viriato. Guiterrez, Cuban Senator, calls for the curtailment of production of sugar beet and cane crops in Cuba, the United States, the Philippines, Porto Rico and Hawali until 1935. No definite action has been taken on the proposal, which is opposed by of- ficlals of the American Sugar Cane League.
