Van | Lear Black, widow of the Baitimore publisher, who fell from his yacht off | the New Jersey Coast last weck, re-| turned Tuesday from Europe on the liner Majestic accompanied by two of her children, Madeline and Gary. Another son, Van Lear Black, jr., who informed her of her husband's death by transatlantic telephone, went down the bay on a revenue cutter to meet her. Mrs. Black sobbed when her son greeted her. In a brief interview with reporters later, she said she believed her husband’s death accidental. “There is nothing I can say except that I am heartbroken,” she declared. She planned to leave immediately for Baltimore. Cuba has such a large corn crop this year that farmers are being urged to feed it to hogs, obtaining their profits ultimately in pork products.
