CAMBRIDGE, Mass,, June 20.—Sci- entists at Mount Wilson Observatory, Pasadena, Calif, have calculated a final perjod of 251.8 years for the new planet Pluto. Announcement of the ealculations was made here by the Harvard Observa- tory, which acts as the official distribut- ing agent for American observatories. The calculations were made possible through the discovery of photographic plates taken at Mount Wilson in 1919 and the computations made W&m B. Nicholson and N. U. Ma of the Mount Wilson Observatory. Prof. Frederick Seares, assistant director of the Californian observatory, sent notice of the discovery of the observatory here. The new planet will be nearsst the | earth in 1988, when it will be 30 astro- nomical units distant, or 2.800,000,000 miles. This is approximately the dis- tance of Neptune. COMISKEY’S KIN ROBBED E.
