Court Rules Woman Claiming to Be Widow May Com- + bat Bequests. P Assoclated Press. ¥ YORK, March 27—Char- lotte T Fiscal, who as an actress some years :ago appeared on the stage as Charldite Leslie and who is claiming & (Widow!s share of the estate of the late A. L'Erianger, theater magnate, has the rl&t to contest Erlanger's will, Sur- rar b James A. Foley ruled yesterday. gh Erlanger stated lpeclflnllv in hi§ will that he was unmarried a did not mention at all the woman lho says she is his widow, she retained a lawyer after his death a few weeks ago and, after the filing of the will, started action to contest it. Mitchell L. Erlanger, former Supreme Court justice, brother of the theater man, and the other heirs objected to the petition, by which she sought to stop probate of the will, but Surrogate Foley held that Miss Fiscal had the right to contest Erlanger’s will and set Friday morning as the date when he will hear arguments as o whether he will listen y concerning her status alone m— with & jury.
