Hewson, commis- sariat of his North Pole expedition, Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd has | radioed his condolences to Hewson's widow, who resides at 1436 R street. Hewson dled aboard the 8. 8. West Amargosa, of which he was steward, on January 5, and was buried the same day in the Atlantic. The vessel had been in stormy seas for some time, and Mrs. Hewson has been advised her hus- band became physically exhausted and collapsed.
