He came to Maryland from Charlotte Hall Military | Academy, which he attended on a schol- arship and where he won honors in | foot ball, swimming and wrestling. At Maryland he won his letter in foot ball three years, being captain of the eleven in his senior year. He played center and was mentioned for all-| America honors.
