NIBLACK RITES SET FOR 2:30 TOMORROW Admiral Who Died in Europe Au- gust 20 Will Be Buried in Arlington. Rear Admiral Albert P. Niblack, U. 8. N, retired, will be buried tomor- row afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Arling- ton National Cemetery from the re- ceiving vault there. Admiral Niblack died on August 20 in Europe. Eleven foreign countries, as well as his own, honored Admiral Niblack with decorations for his services during the World War as commander of the U. 8. naval forces based on Gibralter. He was elected president of the board of | directors, International Hydrographic Bureau, with headquarters in the prin- cipality of Monaco, for a five-year term that started in March, 1927. Officers and many other members of the Association of Oldest Inhabitants of the District of Columbia, and others who had known him for many years, attended mpressive funeral rites for Dr. Benjamin W. Summy yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted in the Vermont Avenue Christian Church, with Rev. B. H. Melton, pastor, assisted by Rev. Earl Taggart, officiating. In- terment was in_Arlington Cemetery, with Masonic and military rites at the grave. The Masonic rites were con- ducted by Stansbury Lodge, F. A. A. M., of which Dr. Summy was oldest living past master. Past masters of Stans- bury Lodge were active pallbearers, while the elders of Vermont Avenue Christian Church were honorary pall- bearers. Among the members of the Associa- tion of Oldest Inhabitants attending the services were Theodore W. Noyes, president; J. Eliot Wright, secretary; John R. Mahoney, financial secretary; Percy B. Israel and Albion K. Parris, vice presidents; Frank W. Dowling, marshal in charge of the association’s delegation; W. Mahoney and others. Dr. Summy, who was 82 years old, died in Walter Reed Hospital Friday. His death was attributed to complica- tions resulting from injuries sustained when hit by.an automobile last March. LIEUT. COL. RUCKER DIES. Retired Infantry Officer Expires in 8an Francisco. Lieut. Col. Lindsey P. Rucker, & re- tired Infantry officer, died at the Letterman General Hospital, San Fran- cisco, last Friday, according to War Department advices. Born at Bolton, Tex., November 4, 1868, Col. Rucker served as a first lleutenant in the 37th Infantry during the Philippine insur- rection in 1899-1903 and afterward was stationed at Fort Crook, Nebr.; Colum: bus Barracks, Ohio; Fort Wayne, Mich. Texas City, Tex., and Fort Leavenworth, Kans. He was retired for disability incident to the service in May, 1918, in the grade of lieutenant colonel.
