During the quarrel that ensued Guckert suddenly reached for a piece of iron pipe, Acton told police, and the watchman drew his pistol and shot the youth, the bullet entering the side and going into the stomach. Samsonof?, a prosecution witness in ti:c trial of Alexander Pantages, millionaire theatrical man, the county grand jury today returned an indictment against a person whose e was kept secret. Samsonoff was an associate of Nick Duneav, Russian pla; ht, who wrote the “Prince of Hollywood” for 17-year- old Eunice Pringle, college student and dancer, who claimed Pantages attacked her in his private offices last August 9. as she discussed presentation of the play on his vaudeville circuit. ‘The district attorney’s office, while keeping the identity of the person sought in secrecy, sald Samsonoff had testified that a private detective ap- proached him recently and told him would be “taken care of” if he gave “Mr. Pantages a break.” Marriage Licenses.
