Mrs. Pantages is on trial on a charge of second-degree | murder, it being alleged that Roku- moto's death resulted from the accident. Car- | offered to pay him $100 permit her to continue selling whisky. | Mrs. Hicks declared she did not talk | with Carroll or any other policeman about the matter and denied further that she had sold whisky.
