LISBON, Portugal, September 3.—Be- Hef was held here today that the body of one of the two youthful Swiss fiyers missing since August 19, in an attempt to eross the Atlantic to New York, had been located and buried near here. On Friday of last week the body of & fair-haired youth, clad in a yellow rub- ber suit and wearing aviation goggles, ‘was washed up on Ericeira Beach. The description of the body fitted either of the two Swiss, Oscar Kaeser or Kurt Luescher. & . ‘The body was unidentified in the amall town where it was picked up and after due legal formalities it was buried in a local cemetery. It was not until after interment that news of the discov- ery reached Lisbon and gave rise to the conviction it was the body of one of the young aviators. It was suggested the clothing be brought here to have an attempt made to identify it. ‘The fiyers took off from a beach near here on August 19, hoping to complete a non-stop flight to New York. They subsequently were seen 170 miles west of Lisbon by a steamship and there was a report that they had been seen over one of the islands of the Azores. This is in virtue of the concordat between Italy and the Holy See. ‘The circular provides that at the be- ginning of every school year the Catho- lic bishops shall submit to principals the names of priests detailed for re- liglous instruction. Once the principa's have approved the list, the priests will present to the school superintendents outlines of the courses of religious study. Each school is to be inspected once & year by a government inspector to find out how the religious instruction is being imparted.
