Farmer Brown's Boy was watching & sight he had never expected to have a “chance to watch—tiwo Bears in a bee tree. It didn’t take him long to under- stand just what had happened. He knew that the smaller of those two Bears had found the honey and had climbed up to get some. There he had been discovered by the other Bear, who had promptly gone up to get his share. The smaller Bear, afraid of the bigger | Bear, had gone on up the tree because he couldn't go down the tree. He knew that the whimper- ing and whining of the bigger Bear ‘was because of the stings the latter was receiving from the angry bees, and that the growls and snarls of this Bear were intended to frighten the other Bear. After a time Farmer Brown's Boy be- gan to be sorry for the smaller Bear, which you know was Cubby Bear. ~Buster Bear is just going to take all that honey,” thought Farmer Brown's Boy. “That little rascal up above won't get any of it. No, sir, he won't get a taste of it. I wish I could scare Buster Bear away and give that youngster a chance. I do believe it i= Cubby Bear. If it is, Cubby ought to know me.
