By the Associated Press NEW YORK, June 28.—A score or more of shady. resorts in the Broadway night elub district were searched by the police early today for witnesses who might throw some light on laying of Frank Marlow, fight manager and pight club owne While indications were that no infor- mation vital to the slaying was found the police made a number of arrests for violation of the prohibition law seized liquor and wrecked a number of speakeasies. The raiding party, composed of 150 men in civilian clothes, left police head- quarters in 30 automobiles and on reaching the bright light district spread out in groups of five. Before the raids five men and two | women were taken to a police station. The men. four of the promoters were held for questioning about their relations with the 1, but were not arrested.
