Next week, beginning Monday, June 137, the National Theater Players will present Sam Janney's satirical comedy, “Loose Ankles,” a' play that has a Broadway record behind it and the suc- cess of a Nation-wide tour. This marks its first appearance ln the National ‘Theater Players’ repertol “Loose Ankles” is a huzh-provoktnx wvehicle from beginning to end. It has no object other than sheer entertain- ment. A gentle satire on a certain type of young man who hires himself out to lldl.u much older than himself, os- tensibly as a dancing partner—the Prench call him “gigiio.” The action revolves about a young girl, an heiress, who inherits her !onune with the pro- vision that she marry a man who has 'the approval of her immediate family. Rebellious by nature, this young lady actually seeks the disapproval of her relatives rather than their favor.
