John W. Price, jr, U. S. N, son of Judge and !Mrs. John W. Price of Washington and Grand-View-on-the-Potomac, will take !place this evening at 8 o'clock in the ICathedral of St. Paul in Erie, Pa. A reception in the home of the bride's mother will follow the ceremony. The Congressional Club will be open this evening from 9 to 12 o'clock for a yeception and dancing, cards having been issued to members. At the regular Friday afternoon tea this week Edythe Marmion Brosius will give a harp recital preceding the tea. Mrs. Arthur Keith entertained a theater party at Poli’s last evening to see “Coquette,” presented for the Fel- Jowship Fund of the American Associa- tion of University Women. Mrs. Emily Newell Blair was the spe- clal guest at the Women's National Press Club luncheon today, Miss Ruth Jones, president of the club, presiding. The wedding of Miss Florence Eliza- beth Beer, ‘daughter of Capt Arthur Beer, U. S. A, and Mrs. Beer, and Mr. Raymond F. Fernandez of San Fran- cisco, took place last evening at 8 o'clock in the home of the bride's parents, at 1648 Hamlin street, Wood- ridge, D. C.. the Rev. W. S. Abernethy officjating. The ceremony was performed before an arch of pink rambler- roses, | sweet peas and ferns, and the bride,’|- who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin, fashiohed with a long, tignt bodice, gnd a long, ruffied skirt, the edges of the Tuffles beaded with pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of, the valley. Her vell of tulle was calght on each side with clusters of orange blossoms, and the long train formed by the vell was carried by little Miss Fleanor Lannan. who wore a frack of pink organdie. Mrs. Sterling R. March. sister of the bride, was the matron of, honor, and wore a gown of flowered chiffon and carried pink sweet peas.and. roses. The best man was Mr. Sterling |* R. March. Following the ceremony there was'a | small reception and wedding supper, after which Mr. and Mrs. Fernandez started on their wedding trip to Cali- fornia, where they will make thefr home, the bride wearing a navy blue ensemble of flat crepe, trimmed with tan, and a small tan hat. This evening, at 8:30 o'clock, -the Kentucky Society will give a reception ond ball 2t the Willard Hotel, this being the last of the series of this season’s meetings. A formal program will fol- low the reception, which will be suc- d, in turn, by a brief session of ess before the dance. An illus- trated talk will be given by Mr. Clif- ford K. Berryman, and a group of songs are to be rendered by Mrs. Ethel H. Gawler, According to the by-laws of the society, at this, the April, meeting the nominating committee will make its report, and officers for the ensuing year will be elected. Col. George T. Dr. and Mrs. Dunbar Rowland are at the Powhatan, where they are staying for several weeks for the purpose of gathering historic data from various departments of the city for future pub- lications. Both Dr. and Mrs. Rowland belong to litgrary and historical clubs of Washington and New York and have ‘a wide circle of friends and acquaint- ances through .the country. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Biddle of Rocky- brook Farm, Peace Dale, R. I, are guests at the Mayflower on their re- turn North from White Sulphur Springs.
