Annapolis Society Events ForWeek Given Wide Range Attractive Entertainment Staged by Amateur Talent—Beautifully Appointed Dinners and Teas and Other Special Functions. ANNAPOLIS, Md., Dec. 22.—The week bnd in Annapolis would have been a Quiet one were it not for the very lively and interesting performance given in Mahan Hall tonight. The show was put pn by amateur talent and the first part, called “The Real Mother Goose," was composed of the children of the Naval Academy and Annapolis, who so | successfully took part in it a short time ago at the parish house of St. Anne's Church, for the benefit of the church fund. The acting of the children was complimented as especially good. This was followed by “The Big Geese.” Comdr. Thatcher, president, the Kentucky Society will hold its Christmas meeting the evening of Friday next at the Wil- lard Hotel, at 8:30 o'clock. Former Senator Augustus O. Stanley, classed as one of the most eloquent of the orators of the Blue Grass State, will be the speaker of the evening. The musical entertainment will be provided by Mrs. David H. Kincheloe and Mr. John H. Marville. Mrs. Kincheloe will give some whistling numbers and will play the ac- companiments for Mr. Marville, who will sing. Mrs. Kincheloe is noted as an entertainer and musician and Mr. Marville is a well known vocalist of ‘Washington. The receiving line will include Mrs. Thatcher, Mr. G. B. Chaplain Aids in Celebration At Stafford Court House. Chaplain Maurice Witherspoon was one of the speakers at the annual Christmas celebration held at Stafford Court House, Va., last Monday night. The celebration was under the direction of Miss Murray, the county nurse, and included the whole of Stafford County.
