CHICAGO, November 5.—To prevent | a repetition of the fraud, violence and | ~rrorism_which marked the Apsil pri- maries, 15,000 polls watchers will guard Chicago's ballot boxes tomorrow. This, the largest array of election day watchers in the city’s history, has been cnrolled despite officials’ confident pre- dintions that the election will be free | irom disorders of political terrorists. The violence and terrorism of last primary_clection day, April 10, have been followed by months of investiga- tion by special grand juries, whose work vet unfinished. One slaying, con- | acies and divers outbreaks of vio- lence caused Indictments to be returned against a score of reputed participants, principally alleged henchmen of certain political leaders. Tomarrow special courts will be open- | ed to hear fresh evidence in all cases. if_any. of irregular voting, terroristic methods or whatever irreguiarities may | b discovered. County Jucge Jarecki’'s court will open immediately after the polls close, to continue, in the judge’s words, “throughout the night far into Wednes- en thousand watchers have been uited by the Citizens' Non-Partisan ssociation. A city policeman will zuard each polling place.
