John Albert Tiffin Hull, for 20 years & member of Congress from Iowa and active in District of Columbia legis- lation, until he retired seven years ago resume the practice of law here, died last night at his home in Claren- don, Va. from an attack of heart trouble after three days’ illness. He was 87 years of age and a grand- son of Stephen Tiffin, brother of Ed- mund Tiffin, first Governor of Ohio, and his associate in the upbuilding of that commonwealth. had celebrated the fift\ fourth anniver- sary of their marriage. Mr. Hull is survived by two sons and a daughter, Maj. Gen. John Hull, judge advocate general of the Army, Wwho made her home with her father Two grandchildren are Elizabeth’ Abernathy Hull and John B. Hull. During his long term in the House, from March 4, 1891, until March 3, 1911, Representative Hull served six years as chairman of the military af- fairs committee, and was for many years a member of the District of Co- Jumbia committee and chairman of the executive committee of the Repub- llcan congressional committee.
