A brilliant audience will witness the opening of the international grand opera festival of ti Washington Na- tional Opera Co. at Poli's Theater to- morow night with “A Light From St Agnes,” the American opera, which makes its Washington debut with W Franke Harling, composer, conducting. The “committee of the nations.” composed of the wives of the five Am- bassadors sponsoring the festival, and Mrs. Bates Warren, chairman of the American group, have been working for the success of the festival, and manv important social functions have been planned for the two weeks of the fes- tival.
